Metallic thread that works - KingStar
you made it sound like you were giving an embroidery tutorial. Very deceiving.
Thank you! 😊
Thank you 🎉
Unbelievable! What a fantastic tip! I'm always carefully using tweezers to pick out the tiny pieces!!!! Thank you so much.
HI JOE - No steam is needed. We are ironing the paper towel until dry.
I can’t tell if you are using the steam function or just the hot iron
Life saver
😅ótimo,obrigada pelas dicas!
TY. I had learned this a long time ago & now that I'm back to sewing needed to re-learn. :-))
Welcome back to the sewing world and thanks for your comment!
this was so helpful thank you
Thanks
This was ridiculously helpful, THANK YOU!!
Surely you’ve just wasted thread? And when you undo it more will be wasted? 🤷🏻♂️
Hi Alan, thanks for your comment. I suppose it could be viewed as wasting a couple of inches pf thread, but many embroiderers use methods that damage their thread, such as putting tape or rubber bands around the spool, which damages layers underneath and not just 2-3 inches of thread. Some others just let the thread dangle, and if that suits their style that's fine with me. I just prefer to keep my premium threads tidy and untangled.
@@deborahjones1364 i probably have 2,000+ reels but store them in boxes with loose ends. Tajima 8 head, 6 head and 3 x singles, so in my world I’m fairly tidy but getting the work out the door is the priority 👍
Worked like a charm - so glad I found this tip!
perfect exactly what I need for my bobbins aswell
Hhhhhvhvhvhzxpi
Thank you! My daughter has an embroidery shop. She bought all the thread from a gentleman who’s wife had had a shop for several years, that had passed away. Literally hundreds and hundreds of spools, large and small just dumped into boxes. I am sorting them for her. So many have loose ends. This will help so much!
Hi how do I get a design from my machine to a USB stick SWFT1201C
Thanks!
The link you provided for 3D foam no longer exists on the website. Please let us know what's the new link. 🤔 thanks!
This is not worth 25 dollars!
How do you know what size and grit for your machine?
Grit from 180 to 200 will be safe. I personally like the 59C crocus TAPE that is about 1/4" wide and 200 grit or 52C cord that is narrow like shown in the video and 180 grit. Hope this helps.
@@deborahjones1364 Thank you a bunch!
Works every time😁
You just saved me $20 for not buying those plastic wrap arounds which look cute but are bulky and won't let my thread fit properly in it's storage case. You're awesome !
Can you do this on a flat bed embroidery machine as well?
Yes - you sure can...and it's so much fun.
@@deborahjones1364 perfect. Thank you !! This is extremely impressive
Brillian! thank you very much - will save many hours frustration untangling my drawer full of thread :)
Where do you get best price for Xacto no.11 knife please?
Is the iron on when you're doing this? And if so, what temperature do you have it on?
Yes - the iron is on medium high heat. Only one layer of paper towel is needed. Iron it dry and it lifts away all of the topping. Of course, you still tear away the larger pieces, first.
@@deborahjones1364 Thank you! I knew the tearing part was needed but just wanted to clarify the temperature of the iron. Mine actually didn't need the iron at all, as it all came off from pulling (LUCKILY) but I'm sure that I'll need this advice here in the near future! I appreciate you sharing this with us!
Never used Crocus cord before, thanks for the advice!
I wish someone will tell me if I need to fill bobbin with the variegated thread? I am trying to FSL of angels with gowns on. I have tried the colors I like for the layers and they take on a solid color. not mingled colors. is the white bobbins causing this? Do I need the variegated bobbin. I am not finding any info on this.
I really love this thread.
What size cord do you use please
What size of Crocus cord do you get? This was most helpful.
WHERE DO I BUY THIS STOCKING

Is there a nee coupon code?
So helpful, thanks!
Dear Deborah Thank you so much for your video. I have a New Brother NV800e and was going nearly nuts with endless thread breaks after being advised to watch this video I polished the throat plate and the metal bobbin cradle with was full of burs and serrations. I think the machine metal bobbin cradle was not machined cleanly when made. After polishing the two carefully. I reassembled the lot and off I went with no more thread breaks. This evening I broke a needle when a thread snagged. The dreaded tread fraying returned, this time I returned and polished the throat place and which had a few rough spots on it and in no time we were back up and running. Thank you so much for your video it has been a great help to me. Regards.
Thanks for letting me know! Happy you are back up and running. It's great hearing that machine sing...
what size crocus cord did you used?

The tip of the #11 Xacto knife was a great help! Also, the dull edge side was useful to gently scrape away the loose threads. Starting on bobbin side is a must. I just took a very tight monogram off of a beautiful dress shirt from Goodwill! Thanks for the video!!
nice
Thanks for this tip it has been driving me mad how to get the wss off. What do you do if it does not melt away like they say. I have had this problem and no tips are found to answer this? . Thanks
Can you use this on standard single needle machines?
Patty, I would recommend Fusible No Show as the best option for that. After embroidery, just lift the fused stabilizer and trim the excess stabilizer as normal. Hope this helps and let us know if you have anymore questions! - Deborah Jones You can buy Fusible No Show from The Embroidery Store here: www.embstore.com/p-1735-fusible-no-show-cutaway-backing-15-oz-75-x-75-pre-cut-squares-250-pack.aspx
What would you use if the fabric is thin, white and stretchy??
These are cool
Great video
